Job Title:  Yard Person / Forklift Driver

Reports To:  Yard Manager

 

Job Summary:  Keeps the yard in order and pulls and receives materials for stock by performing the following duties.

​

Duties include but are not limited to:

​​

• Receives and loads lumber and building materials.

• Operates forklift for job duties in a safe and proficient manner.

• Keeps the yard manicured and clean at all times.

• Assists sales as needed.

• Inventories all items.

• Maintains supplies by receiving and stocking materials in designated areas.

• Lifts and carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.

• Maintains neat and orderly work areas at all times.

• Assists with assigned responsibilities such as operating equipment and general maintenance.

• Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.

• Reports any problems or discrepancies to the management.
