Job Title:  Driver CDL Class A or B

Reports To:  Yard Manager

 

Job Summary:  Completes assigned merchandise pick-ups and deliveries as needed.  In addition, assists with shipping and receiving.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operates the company vehicles in a professional, safe and courteous manner.

• Picks up merchandise and invoices from vendors/warehouse.

• Delivers merchandise to customers promptly.

• Ensures delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.

• Performs daily maintenance checks on delivery vehicles.

• Reports any malfunctions on delivery vehicles promptly to management.

• Assures customer messages/communications are delivered to the correct person.

• Returns credit merchandise with appropriate paperwork and informs management of delivery.

• Assists in maintaining a neat and clean workplace at all times.

• Assists with stocking the shipping and receiving department, including lifting and carrying cartons and placing them on the correct shelves.

• Reports overstock occurrences quickly to management.

• Fills delivery orders by collecting the required merchandise and completing the appropriate paperwork.

• Provides the customer with the receipt and credit form for the merchandise picked up.
